Composite Material Strain Gauges
The KFRP series foil strain gauges are self-temperature-compensation gauges (SELCOM® gauges) suitable for strain measurement of composite materials such as CFRP and GFRP. The special gauge pattern minimizes the effect of self-heating due to gauge current and the effect of reinforcement of low-elasticity materials.
These are foil strain gauges developed for measurement on composite materials. They have a specially designed grid pattern to reduce the stiffening effect of the strain gauges. Because of special type of gauge backing, the number of repetition in thermal cycling test and the creep characteristics has been significantly improved compared to conventional strain gauges.
